Example Tenancy Agreements
You can view examples of the tenancy agreement that we use at Unac by following the links below:
We have provided 3 examples – they are all based around the same Tenancy Agreement:
Example 1: Single Student Paying Rent Monthly
The first example is for a student (Sarah) booking a single room in a shared student house. Although Sarah is living in a house with other students she has her own individual Tenancy Agreement and she is the only student named on the agreement. Sarah is paying her rent monthly. The rent is stated in the Tenancy Agreement as £238.99 per month which sounds like an odd amount but is in fact £55 per week converted into an average monthly rent.

Example 2: Single Student Paying Rent Termly
In the second example Sarah wants to pay her rent Termly rather than monthly. This is what she did when she was in University Halls and she prefers it as it makes it easier for her to plan her finances for the Term. Everything in her Tenancy Agreement is the same as in the first example except the Rent on the first page states the rent for each Term.

Example 3: A Group of 3 Students Paying Rent Monthly
The final example is for a group of 3 students (George, Peter and Angela) renting a house as a group. They have agreed a rent of £55 per week each. All 3 of them are on one Tenancy Agreement and they are jointly responsible for paying the overall rent for the house. The weekly rent of £55per week per room is stated on the contract as £716.96 per month for the house.
